BRENTWOOD, Tenn. — The new Picayune Tractor Supply Company store will hold its grand opening on Saturday, January 12th, with specially priced merchandise through Sunday the 13th, according to store manager Chuck Lorenz. The store officially opened for business January 5th.

The new Picayune location is Tractor Supply Company’s 19th store in Miss. and employs 17 team members. The facility has 19,097 square feet, including sales floor and support service space.

Tractor Supply Company is the largest retail farm and ranch supply store chain in the United States and has been operating in this state since 1974.

“Picayune is a great location for Tractor Supply Company because there is a definite need for a store like Tractor Supply in the community,” said Lorenz. “There are many farms, horse owners and cattle breeders in the area. Our well-rounded, experienced team, including a six-time world champion barrel racer, is thrilled to provide the legendary Tractor Supply customer service to our neighbors.”

Lorenz joined Tractor Supply as a manager-in-training at the Gonzales, La., location. Prior to joining Tractor Supply, he worked for Cabelas for three-and-a-half years. The Washington native enjoys biking, fishing and bird hunting with his dogs, in his spare time.

As store manager, Lorenz oversees all store operations, including receiving, inventory control and merchandising, as well as customer and team member relations.

To celebrate the grand opening of the store, shoppers will receive 10 percent off their first purchase, up to $100, from January 12- 13th, and can enter to win prizes including store gift cards, pet feed, clothing, power tools, a 22-ton log splitter and a chain saw. Free Tractor Supply Company baseball-style hats will also be given away while supplies last.

On Saturday, the grand opening event will feature a live radio remote from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., a cookout sponsored by a local FFA group, antique tractor displays, a SPCA sponsored pet adoption and an appearance by the fire department.

Regular operating hours for the store, located at 2320 Highway 43 South, are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The store can be reached by calling 601-798-1263.
