Special to the Item
The Picayune Item

PICAYUNE — Special to the Item Paul’s Pastry Shop would like to thank our customers and friends for 42 years of business. We invite you all to come and celebrate with us on Saturday, October 27th from noon until 5 p.m. Come and have a free piece of our 42 foot Halloween King Cake— get a baby and win a prize. There will also be great bakery specials to choose from.

Visit with Ms. Shirley (Paul) Gregersen, the original owner of Paul’s Pastry Shop from 1970 to 1988. You can also come visit with Miss Sherri, Lori and Tim Paul. All past customers and employees are welcome to stop by and say hello.

Otis Brumfield, Picayune’s own “UPS Man” from 1978 to 2004 will be the event’s special guest. Otis and UPS were very instrumental in the success of Paul’s Pastry Shop shipping King Cakes all over the United States from 1978 to 2004. Bring a “Toy for Tots” to Otis and receive a large UPS sugar cookie as a special thank you.
