PICAYUNE —
The Greater Picayune Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to sponsor the Second Annual Merchant Trick-or-Treat from 4:30 p.m. till 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31st. This will be a fun and safe community event for the whole family. Parents can enjoy perusing downtown while their little ghosts and goblins collect goodies from local merchants.
Merchants will also be setting up small booths along N. Main Street to hand out candy. In addition, the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department, Picayune Police Department, Picayune Fire Department and other city and county offices will be setting up booths along Williams Avenue.
Mayor Ed Pinero, Jr. says, “This is a fun time for parents to spend with their children and visit some of our great stores. I hope to see many people getting involved.”
Chamber Director, April Lovelace says, “We had a great turnout last year and know that even more kids want to attend this year. We are looking forward to seeing all of the ghouls, so stop by our booth to pick up a tasty treat.
“Be sure and look for the pumpkin poster on store windows to indicate a participating merchant’s storefront along the blocks surrounded by West Canal Street, Rester Street and North Main Street.”
