Pearl River Central Water Association has issued a precautionary boil water notice due to a Main Line Break for the Carriere area and anyone who was without water on 3-30-12.

Some roads closed, others eyed for closing
At 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Pearl River County Emergency Management Director Danny Manley said county officials have closed Sycamore Road near its connection to West Union Road.
He said it was closed because of rising waters in East Hobolochitto Creek which runs near the intersection of the roads.
Friday evening skies turned blue and storms moved out but flooding was still going on as water that fell in the drainage system of East and West Hobolochitto creeks north of Picayune began to flow south. -
Flash Flood Warning expires noon Friday
Pearl River County officials late Thursday reported a number of county roads were under water, and said the situation could get worse as runoff from the constant rains drain off down area creeks and streams.

Rough weather front expected over next few days
The National Weather Service said impacts could result in unsecured trash cans being blown around, driving conditions deteriorating for drivers and for high profile vehicles, large trees will sway and some limbs could be blown down.
A wind advisory means that winds from 26 to 39 mph are expected, the weather service experts said.
The wind advisory covered all the counties along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, including Pearl River County. -
Flash Flood Warning expires noon Friday
The National Weather Service said that a Flash Flood Warning was set to expire at noon on Friday, but weather and local emergency officials said Pearl River County residents should brace themselves for some flooding, generated by heavy rains from a slow moving cold front that transited the Pearl River County and South Mississippi region Wednesday and Thursday and forecast to continue to move out on Friday.

Bad weather continues in Pearl River County
Picayune and Pearl River County were under a flash flood watch through Thursday morning and was under a tornado watch until 6 p.m. Wednesday, as a slow-moving cold front crossed South Mississippi, causing high winds and heavy rains, according to the National Weather Service.
