BOIL WATER NOTICE

PICAYUNE — Central Water Association has issued a boil water notice for members living on Bouie Rd, Bradley Rd. and McNeill-Steephollow Rd.

The water for drinking should be boiled.



After test indicate water is safe, notices will be issued.

    The Mississippi Highway Patrol is issuing an Amber Alert. Four people have been abducted.
    They are identified as Jo Anne, Adrienne, Alexandria, and Kyliyah were last seen yesterday.

  • Some roads closed, others eyed for closing

    At 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Pearl River County Emergency Management Director Danny Manley said county officials have closed Sycamore Road near its connection to West Union Road.
    He said it was closed because of rising waters in East Hobolochitto Creek which runs near the intersection of the roads.
    Friday evening skies turned blue and storms moved out but flooding was still going on as water that fell in the drainage system of East and West Hobolochitto creeks north of Picayune began to flow south.
