Reverend Borzzell Langham


The Picayune Item

PICAYUNE — “For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” II Timothy 4:6-7

The Rev. Borzzell was born August 22, 1934 to the late Mrs. Etta Mae and Fate Langham in Picayune, Miss. Our heavenly Father sent his guardian angel to escort him to his heavenly home on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at approximately 1:30 a.m.

The Rev. Borzzell was a graduate of George W. Carver High School. He was an Army Veteran, a Missionary, a Mason, a member of the Pleasant Valley Brotherhood and the Baptist Church and served as the pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in Pearlington, Miss.

His service to his faith was demonstrated with his love for his family, his call to the ministry, his love for his church families and he will to preach the Word to anyone who would listen.

He loved to sing and was a former member of the Pleasant Valley Male Chorus, Picayune Travelers Gospel Singers, and PVBC Gospelairs.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Etta Mae and Faye Langham; his wife, Mrs. Audrey Langham; two sisters, Alberta and Margel Langham; and two brothers, Wardell and R. D. Langham.

The Rev. Langham will be truly missed by: one son, Ronald (Dianne) Woodson; three grandsons; five great-grandsons; three God daughters, Betty Pittman of Detroit, Mich., Temika (Dwayne) Brown of Oak Grove, Miss., and Chaika Holmes of Cincinnati, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. in Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church.

The Rev. Thomas Stubbs will officiate at the services.

Interment will be in the Picayune Cemetery with military honors.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.
