Eagle Scout project benefits Hide-A-Way Community

On November 10th, 26 volunteers gathered to help Sam Glorioso with his Eagle Scout project, which involved painting the 33 fire hydrants in the Hide-A-Way Lake community. This seemed like a fitting project because the community allows Troop 81 to use the lodge facilities for patrol leader training and the Court of Honors program. Glorioso said he had originally set aside two Saturdays for this project; due to the large volunteer turn out they completed the project in just one Saturday. Supplies for the project were donated by Home Depot. Shown right are volunteers along with Glorioso with one of the repainted hydrants.
