Train center may open next month

TRAIN STATION — After months of delays, Picayune’s Intermodal Transportation Center is expected to open in mid to late September, barring any more delays. Some progress is evident, such as the installation of a kiosk at the rear of the building donated by Amtrak. Amtrak also donated a number of signs for the building that will be placed on Interstate 59 and the front of the building. (Photo by Jeremy Pittari)
