MDEQ collects public comments on permitting of Stone Treated

MDEQ HEARING — MDEQ held a public hearing Tuesday night where community members had a chance to express their resistance to the permit application made by Stone Treated Materials to reopen. Concerns ranged from possible pollution of the local drainage tributaries and the alleged health problems that could be associated. Many hearing attendees shared stories of how their family members are believed to have suffered fatal illnesses due to the pollution. (Photo by Jeremy Pittari)
