Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Baptist Church. The Reverend Dr. Michael A. Kelley will be the officiating pastor.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m.

Hope Michelle Jones was born October 2, 1964, to the parentage of Mr. Willie and the late Mrs. Helen Jones in Picayune, Miss. She received her education as a student in the Picayune School District. Accepting Christ at an early age, she joined the church and was baptized. Hope enjoyed attending Sunday school and participating in the youth choir.

In 1993, she moved to Jackson, Miss., and began working at the Heilig-Meyers Furniture Store. Never letting go of her Christian foundation, Ms. Jones rededicated her life to Christ and joined the St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church.

She loved life and her spirit was indomitable. Her daughter, grandchildren, family and friends were her pride and joy. Hope lived her life her way, and she will be truly missed.

On Monday, June 23, 2014, Hope reached the pinnacle of heavenly anticipation. Upon arrival, she received a new glorified body, the perfection of heaven, and the eternal fulfillment of God’s plan.

Hope leaves to cherish her memory: a loving and supportive daughter, Ambrela Jones; her father, Willie Jones; three beautiful grandchildren: DaKeria Jones, DaKeyvlon Jones and LaTe Fortner; a devoted friend, Arthur Lee Tate; a sister, Dr. Barbara Jones-Franklin of Macon, Ga.; a brother, the Rev. Otis Jones of Picayune; a nephew, Gavin Franklin; a niece, Drew Taylor Jones; uncles: Willie Jones, Jerry Jones, Theodore Rogers Jr., Michael Rogers and Dewayne Rogers; aunts: Annie Mae Jones, Francis Louise Hunter, Billie Jean Rogers, Linda Rogers, and Martha Sue Rogers; three special friends: Tamika Jones, Kimberly Gilmore and Jennifer Breland; and a host of loving cousins and loyal friends.

Interment will be in the Picayune Cemetery.

Entrusted to Brown’s Funeral Home (601) 798-4469.
