The Mississippi Department of Health will host a free educational session on the new health insurance law on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church.

As part of the Affordable Care Act, the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is setting up and operating a Health Insurance Marketplace in Mississippi.

Residents also can receive assistance in enrolling for the Health Insurance Marketplace on Tuesday night.

Those who may be interested in enrolling Tuesday night must bring, their social security numbers, birth dates, pay stubs, W-2 forms, or “Wage and Tax Statements,” policy numbers for any current health insurance, and information about any health insurance an individual or their family could obtain from their jobs.
