Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. in Pleasant Valley Baptist church for Mr. Dennis Woodson, 82, of Picayune, Miss. who passed away October 11, 2013 in Picayune. The Rev. Donald Parker will officiate at the service. Burial will be in Picayune Cemetery under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.

 A native of Peori, Miss., he was retired from Picayune Fire Dept. and worked 30 years at St. Regis. He was a Handy Man, Bus Driver, Chief of Umpire of Athletic, a member of the Carver Quarterback Club, and attended Carver High School. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by: wife, Clara Lee Woodson, son, Donald Woodson; parents, Dennis Sr. and Marzella Woodson; brother, George Nicholson

Survivors include: one daughter, Natasha Woodson of Picayune; three sons: Ricky (Deidre) Woodson of Folsom, La., Timothy (Tracy) Woodson, of San Diego, Calif., Ronald (Dianne) Woodson, of Picayune; three sisters: Ina Ruth Woodson, Sallie Woodson McCree, Mary Alice Byrd all of Picayune; two brothers: Willie “Drope” Woodson of Picayune, Carl (Willie Mae) of Detroit, Mich.; one sister-in-law, Rosia Lee Nicholson of Los Angeles, Calif.; 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 10 a.m. in Pleasant Valley Baptist Church under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
