At 4:39 a.m. Tuesday, Highway Patrol Troop J responded to a fire involving a cargo trailer on Interstate 59 at mile marker 44 just past the Lumberton exit.

The 18-wheeler was traveling south on the interstate and was carrying a trailer loaded with paper products, said Trooper First Class Brent Barfield, public affairs officer for Troop J.
