Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 11 a.m. in Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Apostle Ricky L. Butler will officiate, assisted by Pastor Donald Parker.

Vincent was born October 12, 1964 in Picayune to the late A.D. and Bernethia Burton.

He attended elementary school at George Washington Carver and was a graduate of Picayune Memorial High School, Class of 1982.

At an early age, he joined the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. E.L. Fox. He attended Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Later he became an active member of Restoration Ministry Church of God in Pearl River, La., under the leadership of Apostle Ricky L. Butler.

Vincent worked as a car mechanic in Picayune and the surrounding areas. Later he attended truck driver school and became a truck driver and worked faithfully until his death.

Vincent ended his earthly existence to begin his heavenly journey on Friday, May 10, 2013 at Forest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Miss.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, A.D. and Bernethia Burton; brother, Roberts Watson; paternal grandparents, Howard and Viola Griffith; maternal grandparents, Daniel and Bertha Roy; and two sisters-in-law, Sandra Griffin and Mary Lee Burton.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: eight brothers, A.D. Roy (Dora) of Oakland, Calif., Daniel Roy of New Bern, N.C., Theodore Burton of Columbus, Ga., Carl Ray Burton (Delores) of Dallas, Texas, Donnie Griffith of Hammond, La., and Larry Burton (Diane), Joseph Burton (Lynn) and Victor Burton (Lisa) all of Picayune, Miss.; three sisters, Myrtle Ann Rhone, Juanita Terrell and Felicia Davis (Coleman) all of Picayune; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Picayune Cemetery.
