Graveside Funeral Services for Verna E. Wilson, 87, of Henleyfield Community, Miss., who passed away Monday, April 29, 2013, will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at 9 a.m. at Henleyfield Cemetery.

Burial will be in Henleyfield Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

The Rev. Drew Dabbs will officiate the service, assisted by the Rev. Vernon Watts.

A native of Henleyfield, Miss., she was a Clerk for Fortenberry Custom Meat Packing Plant. Verna was also a custodian and a member of First Baptist Church of Henleyfield. She loved flowers and working in her garden. Verna was always busy. She loved going to church and her church family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Waldo Burks and Leca Smith Burks; her husband, Stanley Wilson; and her brother, Kenneth Burks.

Survivors include: her children, Patricia Burke and her husband Tommy, and Pam Hunt and her husband Kenny; three grandchildren, Jennifer Taggard and her husband Pete, Sonya Hunt, and Janice Touchstone and her husband Brad; five great-grandchildren, Ray, Brady, Elizabeth, Addison, and Ryleigh; and her sister, Mary Rhoden.
