Copeland’s body was found Monday by the maintenance man in Lintonia Apartments where he lived. Yazoo County Coroner Ricky Shivers said Copeland’s throat was cut and that he had been killed either late Saturday afternoon or early Sunday morning.

Authorities said there were no signs of forced entry but there were signs of a struggle.

Snow said investigators were questioning suspects on Thursday, and following up on several leads.
